How Multi Jet Fusion works

Multi Jet Fusion utilizes a powder-based printing process to build parts layer by layer. The process begins with a thin layer of powder spread across the build platform. An array of inkjet nozzles then applies a fusing agent across the powder, defining the part’s geometry. Simultaneously, a detailing agent is applied to enhance the part’s precision and surface finish. A high-energy light source passes over the layer, fusing the powder and forming a solid layer. This process is repeated layer by layer until the part is fully formed.

Technical specifications

Maximum Build Dimensions

While component dimensions are essentially unlimited due to the capability to assemble several sub-parts, the maximum build envelope for single parts is 380x380x284 mm.

Layer Thickness

0.08 mm

Minimum Wall Thickness

1.2 mm (Part depended since unsupported walls break more easily)
